I love the title of this new blog.
That's what I want - a full-fat life, one without all the niggly little cutbacks of the things that make life worth living. I don't want to be a person who's always asking for low-fat this or checking, reading, censoring. I don't want the kind of life that worships starvation and privation. I want to be able to sit down and eat an entire pizza or a dessert without saying, "Oooh, this is so bad for my diet! I'm being so sinful." I want to say, "Mmmmm..." and mean it, with no reservations, no regrets, nothing but pure, undiluted pleasure in the moment. I want to be able to take off at short notice and not agonize over every tiny decision. I want to say, at the end of my life, "Wow, that was interesting. I wouldn't have done it any different, 'cause I've done everything I'd ever wanted to do that was worth doing."
I miss my friends all over the place, all the late-night talks and thought-sharing over coffee or dinner or whatever. I guess I've gotten to the point where I have enough friends all over that no matter where I am on the planet, I'm missing someone. So to all those lovely people whom I've shared a little bit of my heart with (as cheesy as that may sound), this is for you, from me to you, a little broadcast love note and a "I miss you; I wish I was talking to you."
